The European Central Bank recently published a survey on cash usage in euro area countries
The data is interesting because it confirms that cash is the most widely used payment method in Europe, which means that European citizens like using cash. Additionally, a high percentage of retailers believe that cash is preferable to digital payments in terms of overall costs, transaction speed, ease of use, and security.
